About the department

The Commercial & Corporate Affairs – Global Business Services (GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial & Corporate Affairs, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning and Commercial Operations. In the Diabetes Commercial Unit (DCU) we are a passionate team helping millions of people with diabetes achieve better health outcomes through innovative medicines and solutions. We drive and execute the commercial strategy across a strong portfolio comprising of both launch and life-cycle management brands.

The position

The Individual would be responsible for tactical implementation, aligned with global brand strategy.  This includes updating and certification of global promotional, communication materials and approval hereof. To support the GLP-1 marketing team,  presentations and ad hoc deliverables are part of essential teamwork. The candidate should excel in internal and external stakeholder management. Planning and execution of the Multichannel Engagement (MCE) strategy of the brand is a key responsibility. An active role is required for the upkeep and improvement of the Veeva portal. The candidate should have  good analytical skills to generate market insights and performance data. In addition, you will have the following responsibilities.

  • Utilize knowledge of competitor products, trends, and activities to create effective product differentiation which enhances brand plans, tactics, and product positioning.
  • Provide guidance to affiliates for implementation of their local MCE plans.
  • Support preparation and update of brand newsletters; patient support materials; sales training materials and drive cycle release meetings.
  • Support in better practice sharing amongst affiliates, business areas and regions in Novo Nordisk.

Required Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate degree in Pharma (B. Pharm), Science/Biotechnology (B.Sc), Engineering (B.Tech)
  • Master’s Degree (preferably within Marketing) from a well-recognized institute
  • 5+ years of overall experience preferably in the Pharmaceutical Marketing/Medical Affairs/Sales/Brand Management/Project Management, with at least 3+ years of experience in Product/brand marketing /management
  • Experience within chronic disease therapy area is preferred
  • Experience in brand strategy & tactical plan development and implementation
  • Strong experience in planning & execution of the Multichannel Engagement (MCE) strategy
  • Cycle material development and their application to maximise brand performance
  • Strong collaboration with brand teams, affiliate teams and other internal stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex topics into simple and efficient communications and develop storylines for presentations etc. 
  • Strong communication skills and content writing skills
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex data-sets, collecting data, effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete, cohesive picture
  • Technical skills: MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word is a must
