Head Business HR – EPD-Mumbai-Abbott

The job involves being an integral part of Division BHR India team reporting to the EPD Regional HR Director.

Determine the requirements of the business by performing needs assessments to diagnose human issues

Act as a broker between the needs of the business and corporate HR by developing solutions that support the long-range objectives of both

Proactively identify and address changes in the business landscape that impact human capital issues

Help the business inform the right decision by balancing business strategy and people strategy

Translate Corporate / Affiliate HR strategic initiatives into actionable and tailored plans for the business

Build the organizational talent pipeline by planning and contributing to key developmental experiences (e.g., leadership, cross-functional, technical, and global perspectives) for key talent at grade 18+ level.

Work with GMs and Affiliate BHR on the execution of key org development-related EPD levels projects – such as Span and Layer Review, Roll out of Inclusion Workshops for people managers, bringing new business strategies to life from the lens of the structure/staffing, capability, and culture lens.

Ensure end-to-end life cycle mgmt. of the JG20+ employees(Leadership) from hiring to development, with an emphasis on internal talent and with the aim of grooming the next generation of commercial and technical leaders from the internal pool of the Executive segment. Proactively act as a talent scout and is responsible for ensuring a strong pipeline of identified talent (meaning screened and validated by the Divisional BHR Director and the GMs) for critical and/or vacant roles in the scope for grade 20+, in cooperation with the TA organization.

Education: MBA in Human Resources

Experience: 10 + years of total HR experience required, of which 2-3 years in either a BHR Generalist or C&B Specialist/Manager role
